Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District
Protecting Greene, Webster, and Christian counties
The Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District recently provided assistance through statewide mutual-aid to the Winfield-Foley Fire Protection District. Due to the overwhelming effects of responding to the recent major flooding in their fire district many of the district’s firefighters are experiencing fatigue and some are unable to take any more time away from their jobs. This resulted in a request for help from throughout the state. The Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District sent two engine crews over two different time periods to assist with incident response. The district sent four members to Winfield Station 3 on August 28 through August 30. A second crew of three was sent to Winfield Station 3 on August 2-3. During their time in Winfield crews responded on several illegal burns, medical emergency calls, motor vehicle accidents and set up a landing zone. While not responding on emergency incidents L-R crews also assisted in the donation center with processing paperwork and unloading donation trucks.
